That One Time When I Got a Dog (or why I haven’t been designing/blogging)

Depending on how well you know me, you may or may not be aware that my husband and I have been, up until recently, childless, pet-less and all-around responsibility-less since forever.

That all changed one day in May when we came home with this 6-month old, 7-pound, 4-legged fur-devil named Bailey.

To say that it has been an adjustment would be an understatement. I used to spend my evenings and weekends happily crafting and designing to my hearts content. ALONE. Now my evenings and weekends are fully dedicated to trying to burn her endless puppy energy (ENDLESS!!!!)

When she finally DOES take a nap, well, it’s like this:

Needless to say, I’ve not been very productive.

It’s a darn good thing she’s cute.

We’ve had her for almost 2 months now and we seem to finally be settling into our routine. She is bonding with us, learning to trust us and being slightly less needy which means I’ve slowly started having more unhindered-by-a-dog-on-my-arm time on the computer.

I’m going to be posting a Canada Day freebie on the blog soon, and then I’ve got an awesome collection coming for BYOC next Friday. I’m hoping I’ll be able to photograph and post some of my recent Project Life spreads too.

I would like to say things will be more regular around here but that all depends on Bailey. She is presently not impressed that I have stopped paying attention to her to write this blog post.

I’ll see you back here soon . .. until then, have a great weekend!

Hi Diane! She’s actually a very tiny golden doodle. Her Mom was a smallish doodle (25 lbs) and her Dad was a toy poodle. I’m not gonna lie. The first few weeks we were like Oh HELLLLL NO We’re taking her back!!! lol It was rough. She’s very dominant and bossy so we’re working real hard on the training. Sooo . . .yeah. Definitely a life changer lol! I’ve seen some cavoodles on our dog walks and on instagram. They’re SO cute!!

I know, right? There’s a perfectly comfortable bed on my desk with plenty of room but nooooooo. She has to be touching me. >.<
