It’s beginning to look a lot like . . . December Daily time!
I’m doing it paper/hybrid this year and I’m mostly using the official 2014 December Daily kit as well as some digital products from Ali Edwards and The Lilypad. I’m using the 8×6 album in off-white that came with the kit.
Above is my title page. I’m not going to blow up the “Reason Why” text as it’s just a direct lift of Ali’s first page and the text is a bit personal. But I love my little elf card!
The card is from last year’s October Afternoon Christmas line. The December 2014 label and the “make some magic” stamp are from the DD kit. There’s just a teal doily on the back side for now until I figure out what else to add.
And here is my Day 1 spread:
I’m using Ali’s December Daily Overlays. I bought the combo pack so I could switch it up each day. Here I used the 6×8 and filled the bottom square with patterned paper which I machine-stitched.
Day 1 was just supposed to be the selfie but when I got bad news at the dentist I decided that was going to be my story for the day.
I’m going to be printing a lot of journaling straight from Photoshop but when I want to use one of the cards in the paper kit I’m using my typewriter.
Trying to keep it as simple as possible to increase my chances of actually completing the project this year. I struggle with that mentality. It’s not my natural style! For example this Ouch card is too bare and definitely missing something but it’s done and that’s all that matters! Moving on!
December Daily is a mini-album project led by Ali Edwards that you can read about here.
